The Fokker F.1 (designated 103/17) was a prototype version of the iconic Fokker Dr.I. Only three F.1 aircraft were created, with two being sent to the front lines with the first batch of Dr.1s in July of 1917. Its debut was nothing short of spectactular with the likes of Werner Voss amassing 10 victories in 6 days, before he was shot down on the 23rd Sept 1917.

Making History
The Microaces F.1 kit reproduces this iconic aircraft to include details such as the moderately curved leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer and lack of lower wing skids. The kit also includes a vacuum formed plastic cowl, extensive laser cut light plywood parts and a replica Oberursel II rotary engine kit that actually spins with the prop!

The Fokker Triplane 3D Printed Super Detail Pack includes:

The 3D printed rotary engine replica is designed to spin with the prop and in tests, the ballast required in the original model is substantially reduced to the point where we have not added any to the new F.1 model recently built. And it flies very well indeed.
